The guys at ESM had beautiful coverage of the Slater Bros. Invitational this past weekend. Here is a little lovin' they sent our way, but you should totally check out the website for full coverage!
Oh Hayyyyy Kelly, You are just sooo Naughty in this Picture! Don't be too overwhelmed with your 10th World Title becoming so probable. But all kidding aside everyone is soo stoked for you... Your success through the years is one of the reasons surfing (a now multi-billion dollar industry) is where it is today. For both recent and future generations of surfers, you are one of the reasons surfers have the ability to get paid to do what they love regardless of what board you ride or your perspective of surfing...thank you!
A very nice qoute in the write up:
" Let’s get it out of the way right off the bat: Jacksonville, FL’s, Justin Quintal is the best longboarder on the East Coast, if not the entire United States of America. So it was no surprise that JQ followed up his last win in Cocoa Beach (at the NKF Pro-Am Surf Festival in September) and his two jaw-dropping Vans Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational victories (Virginia Beach in August, Montauk, NY, in October) by defending his 2009 Slater Brothers Invitational title."
Hey Ma! Im on the cover of the newspaper!
Blow ups! and Blow outs!

Who the F*ck Is Justin Quintal?
"The week before, Justin had won a noseriding event in California...I asked a kid at Cardiff who won, and he said, 'Some East Coast kid kicked everyone's ass.' And I said, 'Really?' Because that's hard to do. They're not going to score you well, so an East Coaster pretty much has to murder everybody by a mile to win. That's what Justin did there, that's what he did in Virginia, and that's what he did here in Montauk." - Joel Tudor
